To best assess whether your product is likely to benefit from a word of mouth marketing campaign simply ask yourself this question ...
On a scale of 1-10 how likley is it that you would recommend this product or service to your friends , family or colleauges? (products with scores of 8+ are likely to benefit from a campaign)
If 8+ to the above then apply the following checklist to your proposed campaign ...
The right products?
Targeting the right people?
- Identified the right target market and Shapers?
- Seeding to enough Shapers in that target market?
- Sampling in a way which appeals to and motivates Shapers?
The right actions?
- Shaper trial involve exclusive 'Get it First' sampling?
- Giving Shapers a say in our marketing?
- Seeding trial gives Shapers an 'inside scoop'?
